An overview of the retrofit supply chain for professionals exploring roles, standards, and opportunities. This practical bootcamp, Retrofit Essentials for the Supply Chain is a course designed specifically for supply chain partners and resident engagement officers involved in Warm Homes Fund projects. Whether you are a tradesperson entering the retrofit sector or working directly with residents, the training delivers essential knowledge and confidence for successful retrofit delivery. Held over three days, participants will undertake two modules each day, allowing for in-depth learning and practical application. Guiding you through the foundations of retrofit, resident engagement strategies, and key skills and accreditation pathways. The course also features effective communication techniques, collaboration tools, and practical case studies to ensure broad understanding and professional growth. Session 1: Tuesday 24th February 14:00 - 16:00 (Modules 1 & 2): Module 1: Retrofit – The Big Picture. Module 2: Getting Involved – Roles, Routes & Opportunities. Session 2 : Wednesday 25th February 14:00 - 16:00 (Modules 3 & 4): Module 3: Certification & Standards (PAS 2035 and MCS). Module 4: Skills. Session 3 : Thursday 26th February 14:00 - 16:00 (Modules 5 & 6): Module 5: Working with Housing Providers. Module 6: The Resident Experience – Keeping Tenants in Mind. Please note, participants will need to register for all three sessions within this course to receive email reminders before each session.

This masterclass is designed for the retrofit supply chain to discuss effective methods to work with councils and housing providers to deliver retrofit. All areas of the supply chain are welcome from Small SME contractors to larger contractors and from surveyors to customer liaison officers. This masterclass will cover what Park Homes are, how they are built, typical challenges such as moisture, ventilation and insulation, and which retrofit measures are generally suitable. The session also outlines what organisations should look out for before taking on Park Home work and shares practical insights from projects already underway. It is relevant to anyone across the supply chain, whether they’re already installing measures in Park Homes or exploring the sector for the first time.

You’ll explore the barriers to inclusive supply chains, learn how to assess and improve supplier diversity, and discover practical tools to embed EDI principles into procurement and contract management.
