RISE Knowledge Hub
Created by experts to support your planning and funding bids
The RISE Knowledge Hub is a collection of expert-produced articles covering a wide range of technical and bid management topics.
The Knowledge Hub is structured to take you through each stage of developing a retrofit project, from early stage preparation to delivery and beyond. It also shares insights into some of the main funding streams - local authority retrofit funding schemes, and the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund.
Preparing a retrofit project
The preparation phase covers all the activities needed to take a project from initial concept to ready for approval, financing and execution. All these steps are required to make an effective application for funding.
Delivery and post retrofit
The delivery and post-retrofit phases cover all the activities needed to take your project from concept to reality, including design and installation, and then onto resident handover and long-term maintenance.
LARS
£500 million is being made available for local authorities across England as part of a new local authority retrofit scheme. This funding is expected to be delivered from 2025-2028.
SHDF
The Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund will upgrade a significant amount of the social housing stock currently below Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) band C up to that standard. It will support the installation of energy performance measures in social homes in England, and help deliver warm, energy efficient homes, reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty.
