Meeting a real sector need
We caught up with the RISE Supply Chain Development team about what this bootcamp will offer.
Gareth Field, RISE Supply Chain Development Lead, explains:
“This bootcamp is for anyone working in the retrofit supply chain - from resident engagement officers to tradespeople - new to retrofit. We’ve seen a real demand from the supply chain for tailored guidance that covers the foundations of retrofit, resident engagement, and accreditation pathways. It’s about giving people a strong grounding before they start delivering projects.”
The first delivery of the bootcamp will take place online at the end of February. Ed Dobbs, RISE Supply Chain Development Coordinator, who supported on the development of the bootcamp, says:
“I’m excited to see all our hard work come to life as we launch the bootcamp. It will be a delight to see all the planning and hard work turning into a real impact, driving meaningful growth across the supply chain.”
Alex Cramer Smith, RISE Supply Chain Development and Insights Lead will be supporting on the delivery of the sessions:
“I’m thrilled to deliver the Retrofit Supply Chain Bootcamp, as it will provide essential support for newcomers entering the retrofit sector. This initiative aims to inspire more people to start or transition into green jobs, helping to bridge the current skills gap we see in the retrofit supply chain.”
A strong start for green careers
By blending practical skills, knowledge of Warm Homes compliance and required accreditations, and an understanding of resident engagement, the Retrofit Essentials for the Supply Chain Bootcamp will help you to step confidently into retrofit roles.
