RISE's support for businesses across the retrofit supply chain continues, with a new batch of Advice Packs and an all-new Masterclass to help suppliers of retrofit products and services upskill and prepare to deliver Warm Homes projects.

The Advice Packs, which for part of a wider series dedicated to the supply chain, include one dedicated to the subject of heat network zoning. Heat network zoning is driving forward large-scale decarbonisation projects.

Heat network zoning identifies and designates zones where heat networks provide the lowest-cost low carbon heating option. Heat network zoning is part of the strategic approach to decarbonise heat and this pack covers the benefits of heat network zoning, available funding and how to prepare for a HNZ.

There is also an Advice Pack covering project management for retrofit suppliers. It is designed to provide essential guidance for the supply chain involved in the Warm Homes retrofit programmes. It aims to inform installers, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders in PAS2035 roles about best practice for delivering high-quality, compliant retrofit projects.

The new online Masterclass (to be held on 23 April, 3pm) focuses on TrustMark and MCS requirements and certification. Julian Boss, Principal Consultant from Turner & Townsend will explore TrustMark and MCS certification, explaining their importance in ensuring high-quality retrofit projects.

TrustMark registration is a prerequisite to participate in government funded energy efficiency programmes. This session will cover how to engage with the scheme and some of the key requirement areas for a business considering TrustMark registration.

MCS is the UK’s quality mark for small-scale renewable energy systems like solar panels and heat pumps, accepted by all government schemes. MCS sets clear standards and protect consumers – giving everyone confidence in home-grown energy.
