The session will help housing providers and delivery partners reflect on the wide range of fabric-first measures housing providers can consider alongside renewables, and learn how both material choice and sequencing can affect comfort, efficiency and long-term outcomes.

This Masterclass will walk Grant Recipients (GRs) on Local Grant through how to get the batch process right. Local Grant GRs will be guided through best practices for using the Automated Batch System (ABS), helping them avoid common pitfalls and reduce rework.

It focuses on what organisations need to know to commission, manage, and quality‑assure Park Home works effectively, even if they are not carrying out installations themselves. The session introduces what Park Homes are, how they are constructed, and the typical challenges they present, such as moisture risk, ventilation issues, and insulation performance. It also explores which measures are generally suitable for Park Homes, how to assess readiness for retrofit, and what to consider when procuring or managing contractors. Attendees will gain practical insights from projects already underway, including common risks, lessons learned, and what to build into project planning and oversight. This will help organisations confidently scope, procure, and monitor Park Home retrofit as part of their Warm Homes Fund activity.

This masterclass is designed for individuals seeking to understand how a challenging market pressure is impacting retrofit delivery and how to apply practical, evidence‑based strategies to manage rising costs. The session will share what is currently challenging on material and labour, fixed‑price contract pressures, and high ventilation costs, as well as successful approaches.

Admin & Ancillary spend can broadly be defined as the costs that are not directly related to the core delivery of a project (like energy efficiency measures or EV infrastructure), but are necessary to enable or support that delivery. In this masterclass, presented by Turner & Townsend Consultant Cameron McKenzie, we will delve into admin costs - which might include resourcing the project, completing reports, general administration; and ancillary costs, which might include loft clearance, boiler removal or services to support householders with a disability. Because A&A spend can make up to 15% of the grant funding received from DESNZ and as a minimum this amount must be co-funded, it is important to understand what costs sit under A&A, which are considered capital expenditure and which costs could be categorised as either A&A or capital expenditure.
